Welcome, friend! I’m Katie McIntyre, originally from the Bay Area in Northern California and I am now happily married and living in Orange County with my family!
As a mama of two little ones, I know how important it is to feel special, pampered, and beautiful in a relaxing environment. That’s why I have chosen to work at Nouveau 22 Salon. This gorgeous and cozy salon is located in South Orange County. You will love my easy going, approachable personality and be delighted in the fact that I will go through a thorough consultation each and every time you sit in my chair. I promise you will leave feeling uplifted, relaxed and more confident than you’ve ever felt before.
I’ve been doing hair for over 10+ years and have never been more in love with my clients or my craft. I specialize in custom highlights and hair extensions. I take pride in the fact that I am always learning more. I take classes at least monthly and I am certified in over 5 methods of hair extensions, specializing in Invisible Bead Extensions. On the weekends, you’ll often find me snuggled up with one of my 3 kitties or chasing my kids around a playground. We love exploring new beaches and make a point of travelling to a new beach town as often as we can! If you have any favorites be sure to let me know!
I am an expert at baking. I always love making cupcakes from scratch for my kids birthdays. My specialty is my chocolate chip cookies though; just ask my friends and family. I get constantly asked for my cookies to be made for special occasions! If you’re lucky, you’ll get a delicious cookie surprise on your visit with me!

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. Katie took time with me and really LISTENED to what I wanted and expected. She discussed my desires with me and told me what she could create at this visit and we talked about future visits as my hair grows and becomes more "user friendly"!
